bitcoin.rich exists to answer one family of questions - how much bitcoin is actually a lot - with arithmetic instead of opinion.

The method

• Every figure carries its date. Bitcoin data goes stale; undated numbers are how myths start. The current revision is dated 30 August 2026 and the distribution refreshes periodically.
• Primary data over commentary. The distribution table comes from the public rich list of all funded addresses, cross-checked for internal consistency (the bands sum to the mined supply within a hundredth of a percent). Supporting figures cite their sources at the foot of each page.
• The caveats travel with the numbers. Addresses are not people, exchanges pool millions of customers, lost-coin figures are estimates - every page that uses a number repeats the health warning that belongs to it.
• No predictions, no advice. The site computes where amounts of bitcoin sit today, and how the supply schedule works. What bitcoin will be worth, and what you should do about it, are questions it deliberately does not answer.

The calculator

The calculator runs entirely in your browser: your number is never transmitted, logged or stored. Percentiles are log-interpolated between the published distribution bands, which makes them precise to the band data rather than to the coin - a fair trade for a method anyone can verify against the public table on the rich list page.

The site is independent and carries no sponsorship. If affiliate links to hardware products are ever added to the wallets page, they will be disclosed there in plain words. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
